To avoid “overloading” the wall with colors and patterns, choose 2-3 basic patterns. For example, you can “play” with white, black and the natural color of wood. The color contrasts will immediately give energy even to a white wall. Be careful, though.

Do not think too much about all the frames being the same. To give the composition of your wall a more collectible / eclectic look, try to choose frames with different finishes and styles, different thicknesses and of course different materials.
Add matching materials such as metal to wood and different colors. I’m not saying it’s mix + match or boho style. Just be sure to match your combinations nicely and keep their style simple.
4. Place the frame on a piece of furniture

Decorating a wall with frames does not necessarily mean that the frames must be nailed to the wall. You can attach them to a piece of furniture.
This way you will not have to deal with nailing your wall, nor worry about any imperfections or marks that may be created. Also, you can easily move the frame, whenever you want, without feeling that you have to replace it, so as not to create a gap.
5. Decorate the Wall Shelves with Frames
Another alternative idea, if you do not want to nail the frames to the wall, is to use them to decorate your shelf. Lay the frames on the wall shelves, between books and other decorative items.
Here again you have to pay attention to the color combinations. If the shelves and the color of the wall move in neutral tones, you can “play” with the color of the frame. Otherwise you will have to balance the different elements by choosing more earthy tones.

You can also integrate them into the whole composition by fixing narrow shelves so you can easily place them there! On the shelves, you can also place your frames. Combine textures, styles and extra dimensions.
6. Place your Frame on the Floor
Do you have a painting, a collage or a large photo that you would like to decorate your wall? Another solution besides the shelf or the furniture is to place your frame on the floor.
This is the ideal solution if the wall has a defect that you want to hide or if there is a gap. You can place your frame next to your desk or in the armchair you relax after work.
